Jennifer Lopez performs at NYC elementary school
They may not know how famous she is, but the students at a Staten Island elementary school for autistic children sure like the way Jennifer Lopez moves.

The Bronx-born singer and actress visited P.S. 37 Tuesday to perform her song "Let's Get Loud" for a group of eight 10-and-11-year-olds at their graduation ceremony. Teacher Kathy Amati says the children "really like her singing and dancing.''

Amati and a paraprofessional had shown the video for "Let's Get Loud" to the students. They loved it so much they wanted to watch it every day – and learned the lyrics and dance moves from the video. With their teacher's encouragement, the boys wrote Lopez, hoping for pictures or an autograph. Instead, Lopez asked to come to their graduation.

Jennifer Lopez planning exercise clothes line
American actress and new mother Jennifer Lopez is reportedly designing a range of exercise clothes, in the hopes of inspiring herself into getting back her pre-pregnancy figure.
Jennifer Lopez had given birth to twins Max and Emme in February (08), and she would like the clothes, which she hopes would be affordable and smart at the same time, to go on sale alongside her current J.Lo, SweetFace and JustSweet lines.

"She has some street gear already in her lines, but she wants something exclusively for sneakers, yoga pants and dance gear," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling OK! Magazine.

"She wants it to look great in the gym and in the street, and to be affordable and functional," the source added.

Meanwhile, Lopez has no plans to hire a nanny to look after her babies and plans on taking care of them all by herself.

Parenthood in shifts for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are trying their level best to prove themselves as good parents. The two are working in shifts so that they can look after their baby twins without the help of a nanny.

The couple is determined to bring up three months old Max and Emme without any help, and is enjoying the experience of "figuring out" parenthood, singer Anthony reveals.

The 39-year-old says, "It's just us, man. We're figuring it out and having a great time. She (Lopez) expects me to help and makes no bones about it. I get the late shift. I get literally from 10 on because we don't have a nanny. It's just me and Jennifer figuring it out. From 10 p.m. to 8 (a.m), that's my shift."

And he has nothing but praise for his superstar wife, taking on her new role as a mother. "She's such an amazing mom and I'm so proud of her. She's such a gem to watch," a proud husband declares.

Jennifer Lopez refuses to hire a nanny
Jennifer Lopez is reportedly refusing to hire a nanny for her baby twins because she wants to be a full-time mother.

Lopez initially hired help to take care of her newborn boy and girl in February. However, the singer and actress won't bring in a replacement nanny because she wants to take care of them herself.

"She's beyond hands-on," a source told Us Weekly magazine.

The source added that Lopez and husband Marc Anthony will put their careers on hold to raise twins Max and Emme: "They both told their managers that the next year would be all about family."

Rodriguez, the 65-year-old sister of Lopez's mother Guadalupe - underwent six weeks of treatment in September 2005 in Germany's Leonardis Klinik in Bad Heilbrunn, the same facility where Farrah Fawcett and Roy Horn have been treated.
The disease went into temporary remission, but Rodriguez learned her cancer had returned last year (07) and chemotherapy treatments failed to slow its progress. A source tells The National Enquirer, "Jennifer had been preparing for this, but when the time finally came, she was heartbroken and devastated and turned to (husband) Marc (Anthony) for support."

Jennifer Lopez to host Noche de Ninos Gala
Jennifer Lopez has children on her mind and not just her infant twins with husband Marc Anthony. The 39-year-old singer/actress/entrepreneur is also thinking about the 93,000 sick and seriously injured children treated annually by Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and how she can help. Jennifer Lopez announced Wednesday that she'll host and help co-ordinate the third Noche de Ninos benefit gala. This year's star-studded party, to be held Oct. 11 at the Nokia Center, will feature performances by Jennifer Lopez, Anthony, Alejandro Sanz and Latin rockers Juanes and Mana.

Jennifer Lopez, who was Noche de Ninos' first honouree in 2004, said her twin son and daughter inspired her to get more involved.

"Doing something where I was proactive . . . where I was the one pushing and making something happen, that just became very important to me," Lopez said.
"I don't know if it was because I was pregnant and thinking about children, thinking about the world. Definitely my children inspire me very much in so many ways, even just in the past two and a half months of their little lives. They inspire me to want to be better, to be a better person, to do something for the world, to set an example for them, to make them proud of me and to know that there's a certain way that you should live," she said. "I've been very fortunate over the years, but I've also worked very hard, and that's the example I want to set for my children."

Jennifer Lopez said she was looking for ways to contribute more to the charity.
"I kind of fell in love with the kids," she said, "and it's just magnified now that I have my own children."

Working with her sister Lynda and Noche de Ninos founder Giselle Fernandez, Lopez came up with the idea of a concert and started asking friends for help.

"They've been very forthcoming with their time and, in this case, their talent to make this really a one-of-a-kind concert," she said, adding that she rarely calls to ask for favours. ("I don't ask for a glass of water when I'm on the set. It's just not my style.")

Jennifer Lopez's twins to tour Spain with them
At a press conference in Spain last week, Anthony said that the twins, Max and Emme, would join him and Lopez as they tour Spain in June. He added "family and his laptop" were the only things he couldn't live without during this tour, which begins June 21, contactmusic.com reports.

The singer believes he has more reason to take his wife and children on tour with him.

He said: "When I perform in Spain, they will inspire me." He added he won't be making too many demands back stage, saying: "I just need toys for the kids".
