Jennifer Lopez & Victoria Beckham bond over insecurities
Jennifer Lopez has bonded and become good friends with Victoria Beckham after they shared their insecurities with each other.

The singer has formed a friendship with the Spice Girl but has admitted it was when they shared their image doubts that they became close.

Lopez told America's Glamour magazine: "I was talking to Victoria about what makes women beautiful recently. She said, 'People would never guess you're insecure, are you? Because you know I am.' It was like she had to hear it from me. And I said, 'Yeah. Of course I am.' Then she said, 'But you seem so confident.' But because I'm confident doesn't mean I don't have my moments."

Jennifer Lopez dumps her 'diva' J Lo title!
Actress/singer Jennifer Lopez has discarded the famous performing name of J-Lo in a bid to get rid of her reputation as a diva. The 37-year-old, known for being difficult and bad-tempered, said her alter ego was meant to be enjoyable but "got out of control and really crazy".

"That's all gone with the ridiculous stories about me throwing tantrums and insisting on Egyptian sheets. That's all firmly in my past," The Sun quoted her, as saying.
The beauty also revealed her plans to undertake more serious film roles and music projects. The Hispanic singer, who earned millions from romantic comedies like Maid in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner, also talked about how money, as an incentive, made you an "empty shallow person."
"If you focus on the money you're not going to get anywhere. If money is your motivation you're going to be such an empty shallow person," she said.

Jennifer Lopez to perform at Fashion Rocks
Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Fall Out Boy and Usher will perform at the fourth annual Fashion Rocks concert celebrating the relationship between music and fashion.
The show, hosted by "Entourage" star Jeremy Piven, will be held Sept. 6 at Radio City Music Hall. It will air the following night in a two-hour special on CBS Corp.'s CBS network. Fashion Rocks will be among the events during New York Fashion Week.
Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Ludacris, Martina McBride and Santana are also scheduled to appear.
"The synergy between fashion and music is even more pronounced now than it was when we first created Fashion Rocks three years ago," said Richard Beckman, president of Conde Nast Media Group, in a statement Wednesday. "Each year the line between the two becomes increasingly blurred as more musicians launch fashion lines and more designers align themselves with musicians."

Fashion Rocks magazine will also return, with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour again at the helm. The magazine will accompany the September issue of 17 Conde Nast titles. Fashion Rocks is a production of Conde Nast Media Group, a unit of Conde Nast Publications.

J. Lo Taps Swizz Beatz For 'Danceable' English-Language Album
Jennifer Lopez might have told us her love don't cost a thing, but in the video for her next single, "Me Haces Falta" — from her Spanish-language debut album, Como Ama una Mujer — the singer's character definitely learned that there's a price to pay for a lover scorned.
"[It's] basically about someone who is missing someone so much and has done something so wrong to the person that they know they can't fix it," Lopez explained last week from the Los Angeles set of the video. "So they just hate themselves right in that moment, they can't stand [it], they regret everything that they did and they wish they could change things. It's basically about missing somebody terribly.

"The concept is basically I am somebody who can't be with somebody because of what I do and what he does," J. Lo continued. "So there is a kind of hopelessness and helplessness in the fact that they can't be together because of their lives, their lifestyle. And it's that huge obstacle we wanted to put in the video, where they actually could not be together, which makes them miss each other so much."

The video features several revealing scenes, including an important park scene, according to Lopez, but the singer was reluctant to go into too much detail regarding the clip.
"I don't wanna give it away," she laughed. "Basically they are getting to know each other and kind of falling for each other, and in this video, it's not a good thing, as you'll see how it ends up."

One thing Lopez was more open about, however, was her next project. Her sixth studio album will be her first foray back into pop, R&B and hip-hop since 2005's Rebirth.
The album is currently untitled, but Lopez said she's working once again with music producer Cory Rooney, who worked on most of her albums, and also Swizz Beatz.
"I think I got her at a good time, she's focused," Swizz said. "She got Marc [Anthony] by her side, he's serious with the singing as well. And the energy is good, so I'm here to help make history."

"I'm really excited about it," Lopez said of the next album. "The first single will be out this summer. And, you know, it's very different from my Spanish album. My Spanish album was kind of an opportunity to get away from what I do on my English [albums], to kind of express a different side of myself. This [next] album is more of what people and my fans are used to — you know, just kind of a dance, funk, R&B, hip-hop, all that stuff, all mixed up together to make some great pop music.

"Basically it's just danceable music," she said.
