Jennifer Lopez on Marc Anthony: 'We're very Sonny and Cher'
Jennifer Lopez has characterized her relationship with ex Marc Anthony as "very Sonny and Cher after the divorce."
People reports that Lopez makes this comment in the premiere episode of the Latin talent show, "¡Q’Viva! The Chosen," which she and her former husband both produced and hosted. And the couple's relationship does appear to bear a strong resemblance to that of Sonny and Cher Bono, though perhaps on fast forward.
The Bonos had a string of hit songs in the 1960s and went on to launch the "The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour" in 1971 as a married couple. But the show imploded with their divorce after three seasons. It was a full two years before the estranged couple reconciled and resumed the hit program as pals.
Lopez and Anthony had conceived of "¡Q’Viva! The Chosen" while they were a couple, too, announcing the show that scours Latin countries for undiscovered performers in June. But just a month later, the couple split after seven years of marriage. While most assumed that the show would be canned, a rep for the production company behind it quickly revealed that both would be proceeding with their involvement in the series.
Throughout the fall, Lopez and Anthony traveled to several countries -- sometimes separately, and sometimes together -- for the show which will premiere on Jan. 28 on Univision.
Since their split, Lopez and Anthony have appeared highly cordial to each other despite reports of fights and hostilities.
On Saturday, the former couple appeared at the 2012 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena to discuss their new show. The two appeared to have a breezy rapport, even holding hands as they exited the event.
Both are moving on, however -- coincidentally both with 24-year-olds. Lopez has been dating back-up dancer Casper Smart since the fall, while Marc Anthony recently flaunted his new model girlfriend, Shannon De Lima, on Facebook.

"Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant," Casper, 24, Tweeted on Wednesday. "Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite... So, close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy!"

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony divorce after 7 years of marriage
Jennifer Lopez and her huband of seven years, Marc Anthony, are divorcing.
The couple says in a statement that they've made the "very difficult decision" to end their marriage.
"We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters," Lopez and Anthony say in a statement given to Us Weekly. "It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
Lopez, 40, and Anthony, 42, dated for a short time in the 1990s but became a serious couple in early 2004, after she broke up with Ben Affleck and he was divorcing former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. They married in a small ceremony in 2004 and have 3-year-old twins together, Emme and Max. Anthony also has two sons from his marriage to Torres.
Lopez was back in the spotlight this year as a judge on "American Idol," and reports in the past week have suggested she's close to a deal to return next season. She and Anthony performed together on the "Idol" finale in May

Jennifer Lopez and husband want more children
The couple – who have been married for almost seven years and have three-year-old twins Max and Emme together – are unsure whether they will go on to expand their family further, though the ‘American Idol’ judge admits they have discussed having another baby.
Asked if they are planning more children, she said: “I don’t know, we’ll see. We’d like to but you never know. We talk about it but we’ll see.”
Jennifer – who was named Most Beautiful Woman in the World by People magazine last month – also spoke of how much she had enjoyed a lazy day with her family on Sunday (08.05.11), which was Mother’s Day in the US.
She told TV talk show host Jay Leno: “I did nothing and I loved it. I stayed in bed, Marc stayed in bed with me. It was so cute, the kids let me sleep in a bit and then about 9.30, there was a knock and they came in shouting ‘Happy Mother’s Day!’ and they both were holding a rose. It was the best moment of the whole day.
“Marc just wrote World’s Most Beautiful Mom in my mother’s day card, that was all. There were tears.”
Jennifer’s decision to pursue a career as a dancer when she was 17 caused tensions between her and her mother and the 41-year-old beauty admits she would expect Max and Emme to “prove” they were serious if they have similar ambitions when they get older.
She explained: “If they really want to do it then I can’t stop them and I’ll have to support them, but if they’re experimenting, I’ll have to be more cautious and be real ‘mom’ about it – like my mom was with me, I had to prove it to her.”

Jennifer Lopez discusses tour
Jennifer Lopez is planning her first world tour following the final of American Idol.
The singer-and-actress, whose new album Love? is currently enjoying success in the charts, has revealed that she has never toured before – except for a “mini” version with husband Marc Anthony when she was expecting their twins Emme and Max, now three.
The 41-year-old recalled her experiences of taking to the stage with the Latino singer during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I've never toured. No, that's not true. I did a little mini tour with Marc right when I was pregnant. I was a little bit large on tour,” she told the talk show host.
“We just did like 20 shows but I've never really done the world tour thing which we really are talking about now with this album. The first record took off and the second one’s taking off."
Jennifer is currently a member on the judging panel of American Idol, alongside Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler. Her seventh studio album, Love?, reached a respectable number six in the UK charts, while lead single On The Floor hit the number one spot.

Jennifer Lopez danced with New Kids on the Block
Jennifer Lopez may seem like the epitome of cool. But her first job in the entertainment business? No so much. The “American Idol” judge told Jay Leno on last night’s “Tonight Show” that her first job was dancing with New Kids on the Block in 1991. To her shrieking dismay, Leno had video of the dancing.
In other revelations that should embarrass Lopez, she told Leno that she was able to reunite with her estranged mother because of Barry Manilow tickets.

First-Week Sales Predictions Show Little “Love?” For Jennifer Lopez
Looks like listeners don’t have a lot of love for Jennifer Lopez‘s new album, “Love?”
Despite a No. 1 single, Lopez’s long overdue seventh studio album is predicted to sell between 60-65k copies in its first week out, according to industry trade publication Hits Daily Double.
The poultry sum could be boosted a little. The new American Idol judge will perform her hit “On The Floor” on tonight’s Idol results show.
While Jennifer scrambles for sales, British songbird Adele will likely coast her way to a seventh non-consecutive week at No. 1 with her album, 21. The set is predicted to sell another 120-150k copies.
